Apple launches the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in India

iPhone 6s

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are now available for purchase in India. The company has brought the two new smartphones to the region in just under a month since launching in the US, marking this as the fastest rollout for the iPhone in India.

For the iPhone 6s, you’ll be expected to part with ₹62,000 ($960) for the 16GB entry model, or ₹72,000 ($1,100) and ₹82,000 ($1,300) for the 64GB and 128GB variants. As for the iPhone 6s Plus, prices for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models are ₹72,000 ($1,100), ₹82,000 ($1,300) and ₹92,000 ($1,400) respectively.

The new smartphones (and their rather expensive price tags) will be made available at 12,000 retail outlets, including large chains like Croma and Jumbo, alongside Flipkart and Amazon. Unfortunately, if the new iPhone 6s isn’t quite what you require and you don’t wish to fork out that much for a phone, the previous generation has only seen a price drop to ₹52,000 ($800) for the 16GB entry iPhone 6.
